1. Who we are
PinkPulse Limited operates RollChoice, a web application for everyday decision-making. RollChoice includes random-choice tools (such as coin, dice, spinner, and qian), the Worth it scoring feature, starter roll sets, account features, and Premium features such as custom roll sets and Decision history.
For privacy questions, requests, or complaints, contact us at support@rollchoice.com.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Account and profile information, such as your email address, display name, authentication identifiers, and account status.
- Decision content you enter or save, including custom roll set names, questions, options, selected rolling tool, and related settings.
- Decision history for eligible Premium users, including the applicable roll set or question context, selected tool, result, and date/time needed to display the Decision history page.
- Support communications and any information you choose to include when contacting us.
- Subscription information needed to identify your plan and entitlement status. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor and are not intended to be stored by PinkPulse Limited.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Session and authentication data needed to keep you signed in and enforce access permissions.
- Technical and security information such as IP address, browser/device type, timestamps, error events, and security logs when reasonably necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and prevent abuse of the service.
- Google Analytics page-view signals and selected product events. If you reject analytics or have not made a choice, limited cookieless page-measurement signals may still be sent to Google for aggregate modelling. If you allow analytics, Google Analytics also uses analytics storage and receives page views and selected product events. RollChoice does not include decision text, options, results, names, email addresses, account identifiers, or roll identifiers in Analytics event parameters.
2.3 Information we ask you not to enter
RollChoice is an everyday decision tool, not a system for storing sensitive records. Please avoid entering highly sensitive information such as passwords, authentication secrets, full payment-card details, government identification numbers, detailed medical records, or other information you would not want stored as part of a decision roll set.
3. How we use information
- Provide and operate RollChoice, including authentication, starter and custom roll sets, Roll it and Worth it features, and eligible Decision history.
- Save and synchronize user-owned Premium content and enforce ownership and account permissions.
- Determine whether an account is Anonymous, Authenticated Free, or Premium and provide the correct features without relying on client-side entitlement claims.
- Process and administer subscriptions, cancellations, billing status, and related account support.
- Secure the service, detect abuse, investigate errors, maintain availability, and prevent unauthorized cross-account access.
- Respond to support requests and service communications.
- Comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect users, PinkPulse Limited, and others.
4. Legal bases where applicable
If privacy law in your location requires a legal basis for processing, we generally rely on one or more of the following:
- Contract: processing needed to provide the RollChoice service or a Premium subscription you request.
- Legitimate interests: operating, securing, improving, and preventing misuse of RollChoice, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Legal obligation: keeping records or responding when the law requires us to do so.
- Consent: where we ask for consent for optional technologies or communications and the law requires it. You may withdraw consent as permitted by law.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
RollChoice may use cookies, local storage, or similar browser technologies that are necessary for authentication, session continuity, security, preferences, and core functionality. Analytics storage and product-event collection are enabled only if you allow analytics. If you reject analytics or have not made a choice, Google Analytics may still receive limited cookieless page-measurement signals for aggregate modelling. You can change your saved choice at any time from Privacy → Manage analytics preferences.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use the text of your problems, options, or results for targeted advertising. If we introduce materially different advertising or tracking practices, we will update this policy and provide any consent choices required by law.
6. How we share information
We may share personal information only as reasonably necessary for the following purposes:
- Service providers. RollChoice uses infrastructure and service providers such as Supabase for authentication/database services, Stripe for payment and subscription processing, Vercel for hosting/deployment, and Google Analytics for website measurement. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy obligations and only for the functions they provide to us.
- Professional and operational providers. We may use vendors for email, monitoring, customer support, security, tax, legal, or similar functions if and when enabled.
- Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, or necessary to protect rights, safety, security, or prevent fraud or abuse.
- Business transactions. If PinkPulse Limited is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction subject to applicable law.
We do not allow one user to access another user’s protected custom roll sets or Decision history through ordinary product functionality. User-owned data is intended to be protected through server authorization and row-level security controls.
7. Payments and subscription data
Premium payments are processed by a third-party payment provider such as Stripe. PinkPulse Limited may receive identifiers and records such as customer ID, subscription ID, plan/status, transaction or invoice status, renewal/cancellation state, and limited payment-method metadata (for example, card brand and last digits) as needed to administer billing. Full card numbers and security codes are intended to be collected and stored by the payment provider, not by RollChoice.
8. International data transfers
PinkPulse Limited is based in Hong Kong and our service providers may process information in other countries. Where required by applicable law, we use or rely on appropriate contractual, organizational, or other lawful safeguards for international transfers.
9. Data retention
- Premium Decision history: retained for up to 60 days, unless a shorter period is required by account deletion or law, or a longer period is legally required for a limited purpose.
- Custom roll sets and account content: generally retained while your account remains active or until you delete the content/account, subject to backups, security needs, and legal obligations.
- Downgrade from Premium: Premium-only data may remain stored but inaccessible to you while your entitlement is inactive; downgrade does not automatically mean immediate deletion. Reactivation may restore access if the data remains within the applicable lifecycle/retention rules.
- Billing and transaction records: retained as needed for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, chargebacks, dispute handling, and legal compliance.
- Support and technical/security records: retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, then deleted or de-identified when appropriate.
10. Account deletion and data requests
RollChoice Phase 1 does not provide an in-product account-deletion or data-export function. Contact us at support@rollchoice.com to request access, correction, deletion, or export of your personal information, subject to identity verification and applicable law.
When an account is deleted, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify user-owned data and revoke active sessions, except for information we must retain for legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, dispute, or backup-integrity reasons. Residual backup copies may persist for a limited period before routine overwrite.
11. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, receive a copy of, or restrict certain processing of your personal information; object to certain processing; withdraw consent; or complain to a privacy regulator. Some rights have exceptions under applicable law.
To exercise a privacy right, email support@rollchoice.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising rights provided by applicable law.
12. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. The RollChoice architecture is intended to use session-scoped access, row-level security for user-owned data, server-side entitlement checks, secret-management controls, and signed payment webhook verification. No online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and you are responsible for protecting your account credentials and devices.
13. Children’s privacy
RollChoice is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through an account. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us in violation of applicable law, contact us and we will review the request and take appropriate action.
14. Automated decisions and AI
RollChoice’s Roll it tools generate randomized or tool-based outcomes and Worth it calculates a score from inputs you provide. These features are not automated decisions about your legal rights, employment, credit, health, insurance, or similar significant matters. RollChoice does not require runtime generative AI to provide its core Phase 1 service, and decision text is not intended to be sent to an AI model as part of ordinary RollChoice operation.
15. Third-party links and services
RollChoice may link to third-party websites, payment portals, authentication services, or other external services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We encourage you to review those policies before providing information directly to a third party.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as RollChoice evolves or legal requirements change. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice through the service, by email, or by another appropriate method. The “Effective date” above indicates when this version takes effect.
